Blinks and rubs eyes sleepily

I've been awake for about an half-an-hour.  After all of that experimentation, I didn't seem to make much headway in manipulating the appearance of my journal.  Any success I had was due to selecting the right ad/layout combination so I didn't leave any gaping gaps in the color behind around the blog.  Who knows how the modifications show up in other browsers...
